Spring is in the Air!

I hope you all remembered to set your clocks ahead last night! Ahh, Spring!

Yesterday was a wonderful day! The weather here was Amazing! It was sunny and warm, a perfect Spring day. For those of you who don't know, I am not a cold weather girl! I am all about the sun and being able to be outside.

I ran the first leg of the Triple Crown of Running, the Anthem 5k. I finished with a time of 31:40! I was very proud of that time considering I had not run since Tuesday because of my ankle pain. There were over 7,800 runners in the race and I placed at about 4200! That is the top 54% if you do the math!

Like I said, the weather here was beautiful so I changed my menu plan for the night and we had a cook-out! I used the grill for the first time ever by myself! Big Daddy had to go out for a meeting and I was on my own! I'll admit, it wasn't the best grilling experience and I had to put the burgers under the broiler to make sure there were cooked through, but they ended up tasting great!

Now it looks like we might get some rain here today, so I am going to try to get some mileage in before the sky opens up. I have a lot of catching up to do on my training!

P.S. I have your paperwork around somewhere that I need to fill out to sponsor you. I'm TERRIBLE at getting paperwork back in the mail!

It's funny, I woke up at 10:30, and was like wow, I slept in late today, I can't believe how late I slept. Josh said, actually the clocks moved ahead, so really it's only 9:30. But hey, that is still sleeping in for me here lately!!!!

yes, Spring! I got rid of the cherries by the way. I like my new look though. Tell me what you think. And thanks for the link to get it, I totally stole it off your blog as you know :-)

Congrats on the race! That is awesome! I would probably be in the last 2 percent. OH, and now I am seriously craving a hamburger after reading your post. YAY for warm, grill-worthy weather!
