Vacation Pictures

Here are just a few cool shots I got while we were in Daytona.

Those were from a thunderstorm one evening. I love when I catch a shot of lightning!

This is a shot of our view from our balcony.

And just a fun one of a sailboat. I think sailboats on the water are so pretty!

Of course, I can't find all my pictures now that I am home! They are somewhere in my computer, I just have to figure out where I saved them! When I find them I will share some. Maybe some videos too!

I'm alive and well!

Well, not as well as you would expect!

I miss my house.

And my kitties.

And my sister.

And my internet connection.

And my house.

Oh, I already said that?

We hit the road on Wednesday morning and should be home Thursday evening. Don't get me wrong this has been a wonderful, beautiful relaxing vacation. I'm just ready to get home. I need some sense of normalcy back! I just wish I could take the ocean with me!

Still a terrible connection!

You know, the only reason I brought my computer on vacation was to blog and now I can't get a connection for anything! I can't post the videos I wanted to share and I can't post any cool pictures (a couple night ago I got a shot of a lightening bolt!)

Anyway, just a quick update while I have the chance! I finished two books. My Lobotomy and She's Come Undone. I enjoyed both of them very much! They were every deep though! I am currently reading Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella. I must admit it's really not too great so far. We'll see.

The kids seem to be having a good time. We haven't done anything besides beach, pool and dinner out. I have plans to take them on a water taxi ride next week and we still have to hit the Daytona Beach Pier. We've also got the 4th of July to celebrate and more weekends with the in-laws to enjoy.

Right now, we are just hanging out and watching the news coverage of Michael Jackson (shocking!) and having some sandwiches for dinner. But I think I've had enough of CNN for a while so I'm gonna go watch I-Carly with the girls!

Hello from Florida! ***edited to add...I lost my connection before the video loaded :(

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. I do not/did not plan on vacationing from my blog, but it seems our wireless connection is limited here. I guess I can't complain!

I have been able to keep up with your blogs and emails using my iPhone, but it takes so long to write comments and responses that I have been putting it off.

Anyway, we are having a great time. Beautiful and relaxing. I made this video earlier this week. It's a little tour of our condo. I feel like my voice is really weird. I don't know if that's how I really sound or if I'm "hamming" it up for the camera??? Let me know, Michelle!

On The Road Again!

You Take the Road Everyone Travels

You see romantic love as what's most important in life. A deep connection with someone else is the primary thing you crave.

Your life is quite hectic. You try to slow down when you can, but it's not easy!

You don't like a lot of risk or randomness in your life. You prefer to stick with what's known, even if it's a bit boring.

You are able to find a fairly healthy balance between work and play. You work when you need to, but you never let yourself burn out.

In another life, you could have been a great novelist. You have a knack for describing things in an interesting way.

San Diego Trip

Our balcony

A view of the San Diego Bay

Another one

Enjoying the California sun air

Being silly at breakfast on Saturday.

I was very anxious all day Saturday.

You can probably tell, we spent a lot of time just hanging out with each other!

My jersey! I wrote my favorite cancer kid warriors on the border.
(You can click on the picture to make it bigger.)

My feet before the race. 6 band-aids and 1 ankle brace!

Me before the race. Yes, it was still dark outside. Our team met in the hotel lobby at 4:15 am!

Me after the race. Suprisingly, ready to take in the sights of the Finisher's Village!

The oldest Mexican restaurant in San Diego. And the site of my victory dinner!

Being serenaded!

My unbelievably delicious victory dinner! That's a bean burrito on the left and on the right, introducing...verde chicken enchilada! I'll be adding this to my Mexican meals from now on!
(Oh and yes, I. Ate. It. All!)

Me after many yummy top-shelf margaritas! Jim had the balloon man make me a crown out of balloons!

And finally after a long day on the road in the air. We came home to a sleeping Mr. T and this sign! How sweet!

Off we go....

Into the wild blue yonder!

And we are flying Southwest. Check out Jessica. She is Southwest's new "Mommy Blogger" I read her regular blog from time to time. Her Elias is just too cute!

Our flight should have left already. (I am writing this on Thursday afternoon!) Departure was scheduled for 7:50 am. I'm not taking my computer with me, but I have a couple of scheduled posts and I will be checking your blogs from my i-Phone! I won't be totally out of the loop!

Mustaches

Did I mention that the kids grew mustaches while we gone!

Goofballs!

Good Times and Great Scenery

Some of my fave pics from our trip...

4 silly kids!

A happy Mama and Big Daddy!

I didn't get nearly the number of mountain and nature pictures I had hoped. The view from the cabin was not as great as expected and the weather was very uncooperative! I still managed to get some nice ones. Here are a few...

Finally, my very favorite! We don't have a lot of great pics with all six of us. A nice lady asked if we'd like us to take a family picture and we jumped at the chance! I was so happy that all the kids smiled nicely!

Celebrities!

Yesterday we met some celebrities! There must be something going on here in town....
Big Daddy got to pose with Hulk Hogan!

The boys saw Tom Hanks sitting on a bench and asked if they could get a picture.

Then the girls ran into Judy Garland! No wait...

She's not alive any more! So what could this be???

Well, The Hollywood Wax Museum, of course! Look at how realistic these are! I think it has a lot to do with the eyes.

The hand looks a little fake on this one due to the glare of the light, but check out how realistic that ice cream is!

Of course I got in on the posing action too!

I wouldn't be afraid if my child was possessed by the devil. I would just grab her feet and trip her and maybe the devil would fall out...see?

Wow! I think I figured out how Hef keeps all those young girls so happy!

What? Is that inappropriate? Um, sorry!

Now, we're off to see some more fun things today!
