My Helper
I was babysitting one afternoon and had just started dinner when the babies were ready to eat. I asked Tyler and Rachel to feed them. Tyler said no thank and Rachel swore she could feed both of them herself. And, you know what? She did!

Scenes from 2009 Cross Country season

Tyler, my superstar!

Ra-ra, my bulldog!

Tattoos before the race....

This girl gives her ALL every time!

Probably the most exciting finish of the season!
Tyler and one of his good friends, Holden battle it out for 5th place.
There was a ONE SECOND difference between them!

Washing off in a puddle! This was the muddiest season we have ever endured. Every race was muddy. This one was especially dirty and the coach asked them all to wash off before boarding the bus.
G-R-O-S-S!!!

Rachel and Mallory's birthday!
I can upload pictures today! :)
Time to do some catching up!
Mallory (l) and Rachel (r) at their birthday party.

Why yes! I did make the cake. Thank you!
I used a bear cake pan and iced it to look like a dog.
I added the "woof!" just in case it was hard to tell!

Proud dad of 4 teenagers now!

Tyler gave the girls a ridiculously sappy card. It was funny because, we're just not that type of family. The girls were reading it like...."what is going on here!"

Structure
I hate to be the mom that wishes for school to start, but...
I can't wait for school to start!
I don't mind my kids being home all day, but they get bored and they just sit around and look at me all day. They pretend to be interested in Days of Our Lives just so they can sit in front of the TV! I don't know why they won't play outside. We've had great weather and they have bikes and scooters.
The main reason I'm ready for school to start is the structure. I love a schedule! When school is in session, I can get my day started earlier. I plan dinners and activities. Everyone takes regular showers and goes to bed at a reasonable hour!
Cross country practice starts this afternoon and school starts two weeks from tomorrow. I made all the kids go to bed at 12:30 last night. I even had everyone up and out of bed by 1:00!
On the baby front, the twins are still in the hospital. They are out of NICU and sharing a bed. We are just waiting for them to eat more and keep gaining some weight. I think Michelle and Josh get to stay at the hospital with them tonight. I can't wait for them to be home. I know how hard this has been on Michelle! Please keep them in your thoughts.

Easter @ Home
Easter has always been a whatever comes up kind of holiday. We don't have any concrete plans for year to year. In years past, we have had dinner with family at my parent's, grandparent's and aunt's homes. One year we hosted Easter at our house complete with an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. This year felt like a stay-at-home Easter. It was just the six of us. I cooked a ham for dinner and taught the girls how to make deviled eggs for Big Daddy. He's the only one that likes them!
We also baked and decorated a yummy bunny cake!
Of course, the one tradition that always happens is the dying of the eggs. I started out with 16 eggs to boil and ended up with an even dozen. Three eggs each...just enough to tint their fingers blue! I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are a few.

I hope you all had great Easters with your families!

My girls are growing up....
Last week the girls and I were watching The Big Bang Theory. Penny had on quite a tight top. See for yourself...
The boys weren't in the room so the girls and I got into a discussion about, ahem, her boobs. We discussed whether the shirt was just too small or were her boobs just really big?
Kitty: "we should just ask Big Daddy when he gets home"
Me: Through laughter, "Why?"
Kitty: "He's a boob guy, you know."
Red nods in agreement.
Well, they are right.
So cut to last night we were scanning Insight looking for a movie to watch and we passed something with Scarlett Johansson. She has quite "the body" herself....
Big Daddy: "I wonder if she takes her shirt off?"
Red: "Dad, you know, you've got a pretty young wife."
BD: "What's that mean"
R: "If you want to see that, why don't you just take Jen upstairs"
OMG! Yes, that's exactly what she said. We laughed and laughed! And, I mean I laughed hard! One of those your face is ugly and tears are streaming laughs.
So, the girls are growing up! And I admit they're pretty fun!

Multiple Moms
So you might have noticed my Blog-roll for moms of multiples. Yes, Big Daddy and I have the twins...
RED - the oldest (by a few minutes!)
Kitty - the baby of our family!
But...they were 5 years old when I met Big Daddy and were 7 when we all moved in together. So I did not have the privilege of raising them as babies and toddlers. That being said, I am quite amazed at how these multiple moms do it! Especially when mine are in silly mode....
Look closely...their pajamas say "Double Trouble!"
So maybe sometimes I like to read these blogs to see just what it might have been like to have my 2 "babies" crawling around together! Or maybe I just like looking at the adorable pics of the multiple babies! I'll say it's a little bit of both!
